That's awesome! Why does the rest of the world get such cool Toyotas?!!! Hope you can bring it back.

Thanks, guys. This truck will most definitely be headed back to the states with me.

For those that don't know, Japan is rather strict on automotive health and this truck is no exception. It is a rather expensive vehicle to own and operate in this country. It is considered a luxury vehicle (laughable, considering the features on all new vehicles these days) this puts it in the most expensive classification for registering. Additionally, It will need to be inspected annually for serviceability rather than the 2 years given to almost every other passenger vehicle here. Long story short... I have a bit of time before this Cruiser gets delivered to me with a fresh inspection and tags so I can drive it. But, for those of you that like pictures, and for the sake of documenting them before the ad for this truck disappears:

Very happy for you and your acquisition of the "grail."

You know... It's one of those feelings I couldn't shake every time I saw one. So, against all reason... I'm going to bring it back.

I can't think of a reason NOT to bring it back.
In time, I'll be covering the drawbacks for people that might not understand. I know you are not one of those. You are already well aware of its shortcomings, but likely accepting of them... Me too.

In fact, now that we've seen it don't come back without it ;)

Well, coming back without it just wouldn't be right... I mean, how else will Goosegear get the chance to build on a 70 series?

That's the truth. It's definitely going to need many mods

This will stay pretty mild as builds go. I don't want to over do it, but proper storage will be key. I'm also thinking in the direction of an OZtent.

My Sawzall is shaking in the box like the Excorcist.... Must... Modify... Quarterpanels...

:lol

Finally have some movement on this as of a couple days ago. Although I'm still awaiting delivery, this Cruiser is now officially mine. I've already got parts inbound for it to help clean it up. That chrome tube rear bumper will be replaced with a quickness, and the stock tire carrier will be standing by until I have a spare to hang on it. I'm still in the hunt for a few other stock pieces, but will have most of those soon. As much as I hate chrome, the front pto winch bumper will probably be staying for a while... if nothing else, it's a suitable substitute for not having a tailgate. :D
