Adventurist
Well my wife Sally & I just got back today from our camping trip, we wanted to be in the backcountry camping but the ticks & chiggers are real bad, so we ended up @ Gunner Pool Campground in the Ozark National Forest.
We took the long way around backcountry travel going in & coming back out & got to see some awesome country in the Ozarks. The Dogwoods are in full bloom, absolutely beautiful, saw tons of wild turkey, the hardwoods are starting to leaf out.
We met up with some good folks (several) @ the campground that were offroad adventurist & motorcyle adventurist with visiting swapping stories. I told them about The American Adventurist Forum, I know of two will be checking it out. Friday night the coyotes were howling, they were very close.
Our 2019 Range Runner performed flawlessly as usual & had few visitors asking about. Lots of out of stater's coming in trying to find places to stay for the eclipse, gas stations are starting to run out of gasoline & ice. Propane is mark up double in price for the eclipse.
Have to say it was relaxing, & we ate good. Ol' Heavy my 2000 GMC always faithful, her 5.3 L mild built motor & built 4l60E transmission, & swapped gearing took us there & back home w\o a hick up. We found some new dispersed camp sites (marked them in our GPS) where they logged off a nice section.
I've been in search for new rims for Ol' Heavy, the current one are pretty hammered & tattered.
Were still trying to get out to Missouri Mark Twain National Forest Glade Top Trail for a 4 days, hopefully before summer sets in.
