Yup. I absolutely HATED the mag chloride on the roads in Chicago. You'd see trucks less than 5 years old with perforating rust up there...

Interested to hear your experience with the Joolca unit. What pump are you using?

The Joolca pump with the bundle. I didn't want a permanently mounted pump on the vehicle so I can use it with the 4Runner.

Nit-picking some details. The flow direction indicator is in the underside on the pump. I also dropped it on the concrete floor unpacking because the packing for it opens from the side. When I pulled it up and out of the box it rolled out onto the floor. So I tested it.

These hinges were twisting in the slots causing the arms to droop. Had to redo.

The new hinges extend the arms out 2".

This gives me a floor space around 24" by 38". Thick walled ABS tubing (3/8" wall diameter, 7/8 outside diameter") weigh down the curtain. Knotted paracord ran through them keeps them spaced out correctly.

Curtain closes with Velcro. Opening is facing the back side of the vehicle about 1/3 of the way from the back of the arm.

Added a NOCO battery charger. Too much shade on the driveway for the solar to work during the summer. The mount is the Universal Compressor Mount by Rohde Fab.

Also added the MESO LED map lights. The tactical and practical version. That required pulling the roof console off. There are 4 clips holding it in. Start from the back driver side and pull down then work clockwise. I got a few replacement clips but I was lucky. Not a single one broke. I'm off to buy a lottery ticket now.

Cover is available here if you don't have a 3d printer. It defaults to dyed black multijet fusion process. Swap it to SLS for a much less costly process.

STL file in the zip if you do.
